Multi-Modal Blues

I woke up this mornin’, soft snow outside

thought to myself: it’s gonna be a tough ride

Well my cars in the shop, the battery’s dead

At least it ain’t the brakes, I thought in my head

I got the blues, the multi-modal blues

My bike got some tires, they’re mighty fine

But damn this fresh snow, they’re only 29

I pushed my bike for miles, I never felt so worked

I couldn’t help myself, screams, tears and going beserk

I got the blues, the multi-modal blues

Bus number 15, that’s my lucky ride

That guy loaded my bike, man he’s divine

Bus driver stopped me, said you ain’t got the fare

But it’s okay lady, let down your hair

No biking, no car, no change for the bus, I’m making my way, the walking is tough

Living ain’t easy when you’re going downtown, it’s tough pushing bikes, wearing a frown

The fresh snow’s all pretty ’til it’s stopping your plans, tears will dry on the face of this woman

I got the blues, the multi-modal blues
