Marathon Training Week #1, down!
Using the training plan from Marathon Rookie. It’s the same one I used for Mayor’s 2014, it was simple and easy to follow. A familiar plan makes it easier to focus on increasing speed (or so I anticipate).
Monday: 3 miles on the nose
Wednesday: ~4.5 miles
Thursday: ~3.5 miles
Saturday: ~5.5 miles
Total: ~16.5 miles for week 1
Icy trails made for steady running, with no interval or increased speed work. C’est la vie – 15 weeks to go!
