Adam loves pickled things.Dill beans, pickles of the usual variety, etcetera… It’s all good. Recently he’s been talking about pickled carrots and his desire to make some at home.
Today we went to the Spenard Farmers Market with some friends and bought a ton of carrots from Chugach Farm. A simple recipe from the interwebs, stocking up on vinegar and wine (for us, not the carrots) and we were in business.
We are being serenaded by the sweet sounds of popping lids, since we opted to can instead of refrigerate. And in one week they’ll be ready to eat!
